How to set up RoboForm in Lunascape

About RoboForm

The RoboForm toolbar is a password manager for signing in at secure sites.
The RoboForm toolbar can be used in Lunascape with the Trident engine or with the Gecko engine.

Setting up RoboForm in Lunascape

Warning: DO NOT simultaneously display both the RoboForm toolbar for Trident and the RoboForm toolbar for Gecko. This will prevent the RoboForm toolbar for Gecko from displaying properly.

The RoboForm toolbar for Trident, when correctly displayed, appears on the main browser frame, outside the page area, and contains a number of menus and a search bar. The RoboForm toolbar for Trident can be displayed/hidden by selecting/deselecting the menu item View - Toolbars - Roboform via the usual Menu Bar outside the page area, on the main browser frame. The example shown here contains a user-defined passcard named "Amazon Trident". Passcards defined in the Trident RoboForm toolbar can be used with Trident pages only.

The RoboForm toolbar for Gecko, when correctly displayed, appears inside the active Gecko tab, inside the page area, but otherwise looks like the toolbar for Trident. The RoboForm toolbar for Gecko can be displayed/hidden by selecting/deselecting the menu item View - Toolbars - [Gecko icon]Roboform via the usual Menu Bar, or by selecting View - Toolbars - Roboform from the Menu Bar inside the page area in your Gecko tab. The example shown here contains a user-defined passcard named "Amazon Gecko". Passcards defined in the Gecko RoboForm toolbar can be used with Gecko pages only.

An incorrectly displayed RoboForm toolbar may contain only a RoboForm button and a close button. When the RoboForm toolbar is incorrectly displayed, it cannot be used properly in Lunascape.

The following explains how to set up and display each RoboForm toolbar correctly in Lunascape.

Setting up the RoboForm toolbar for Trident

  1. Set the default engine in Lunascape to Trident.
  2.  Use a Trident tab to install RoboForm from www.roboform.com. NB: You need to close any running instances of IE before installing RoboForm.
  3. Open a Trident tab.
  4. Make the RoboForm toolbar for Trident visible by selecting View - Toolbars - RoboForm from the usual Menu Bar outside the page area, on the main browser frame. Note that you must select the RoboForm item WITHOUT a Gecko icon. If there is a RoboForm item with a Gecko icon in the menu, make sure this item is deselected.
